Christmas is just around the corner. People are trying to bring the holiday spirit by shopping and taking some time off. But we still have to work, which for some is a total bummer.

But you can still bring in the Christmas spirit and feel the spirit of the season by revamping your workstation that will inspire you to do more.

1. Spruce up your PC. Since you spend most of your time in front of your computer, it will do you good when you give it a makeover. No, I’m not saying that you need to tear your PC apart and re-assemble it. Just put some decors and accent to make it more interesting. Change your wallpapers into something Christmassy – a snow man, a Christmas tree, or whatever you want that will remind you of the holidays. You can up the level by putting a little Christmas tree USB, faux snowflakes, or Christmas lights!

2. Revamp your office windows and doors. The windows serve as the eyes of the space, so lighten it up a bit for the holidays. Put a strand of Christmas lights or a fake snow to make it more realistic. Do not forget your door. Put a wreath on the front door and a big greeting letter.

3. Spice up the walls. If you have boring white walls, give it some life by putting some decors. Break the monotony by giving it some colors. I saw some amazing wall decors at some fully furnished offices Makati city space owners have. Their tenants are definitely happy. Say, put a Christmas tree and add some gifts (fake or real) to spice it up. If you want to play with white, make it a Winter Wonderland by adding a big snowman and lace it with snowflakes!

4. Give your ceiling a face-lift. All these years, you’ve been staring at your blank office ceiling, trying to get inspiration. The ceiling oftentimes is ignored or taken for granted. I don’t know about you, but I want to see something else when I look above. Maybe it is time to give it an overhaul since it is Christmas. Hang some interesting decor on the ceiling, some stars or socks maybe. A dangling little Santa Clauses would uplift your spirit and get you into the holiday hype.

5. Bring zest to your break room. The break room serves as a temporary escape to the workers. Make your own  or your officemate’s short escape a little more interesting by giving your break room a little something to lift their spirits and make it more festive. Decorate the place with personalize stockings or other embellishments. Make your co-workers feel special by putting their names on each stocking. Put some candy canes from some extra sweetness.

6. Bring life to the corners. Like the ceiling, the little corners are often forgotten. Pick a good spot that you can decorate and put an interesting decor to liven it up. But do not overdo it. It might look like a Christmas tragedy rather than a holiday inspiration.
